On the auspicious day of October 2nd 1986, a significant milestone was marked in the Sadhu Sevana Sabha with the establishment of a new branch house St. Antony’s Convent located at Kakkanad. This convent was founded with the aim of extending the Sadhu Sevana Sabha’s mission of compassionate service, particularly to those in need of Holistic Healing and Care.
In conjunction with the founding of the Convent, the Cardinal Padiyara Nature Cure Centre was envisioned as a place of healing through the principles of Naturopathy. The blessing ceremony of the Convent was solemnly conducted by Very Rev. Fr. Joseph Panampally whose presence and prayers added grace to the occasion. The dedication and foundation rites where led by Rev. Fr. Thomas Maliekal, the revered founder of the Sadhu Sevana Sabha, whose vision continues to inspire generations of service minded individuals.
Since its inception, St. Antony’s Convent has been a beacon of hope and healing. The sisters residing here dedicate themselves whole heartedly to the well-being of individuals suffering from spiritual, physical, and psychological ailments. Through the compassionate application of natural healing methods, prayers, and personal care, they strive to bring comfort and renewal to those who seek help within these walls.
This mission is not merely a service, it is a calling. Rooted in the values of love, mercy, and holistic wellness, the Convent stands as a testament to the enduring legacy of Sadhu Sevana Sabha and its commitment to serving God by serving humanity.
